Forest Fringe Farm

Welcome to Forest Fringe, a farm and artist residency based in the Catskills, NY. Run by self-described “misfits and outliers”, this is a place for fellow artists and community organizers to connect, reset and commune with nature.

The client came to us not looking for perfection or familiarity, but to challenge the status quo of traditional farm branding. We were commissioned to create every detail of the design and marketing for the farm’s launch— from identity to art direction, web, social, even drone photography.

This project was funded in part by the CCE at Cornell University

We set out to establish a recognizable brand identity that communicates the rebellious, ecological, and mystical aspects of the land and its stewards

The brand identity’s collage motifs, bold highlights, hand-drawn illustrations and land-inspired color palette were chosen to evoke the farm’s rebellious yet ecological ethos.

The little orange newts that live on the farm serve as the mascot, playfully drawing you in, surrounded by moss greens, construction yellow and compost browns.
